Student Research Opportunities

Students have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in my lab throughout the year. Students generally work for 1-3 research credits. Less frequently I offer paid, internship type positions. My expectations are that my research students will:
I am also happy to mentor students who are interested in developing their own projects. If you are interested in working with me a good way to begin is by sending me a statement of interest in the form of a letter as well as your resume.
- Be motivated and detail oriented
- Work with me for a minimum of one year
- Maintain a good GPA
- Most importantly: Be EXCITED about avian and/or behavioral research!

Students who conduct research with me present their work annually at SPACE, the Pitt-Johnstown undergraduate research conference, and at National and International Conferences.
